This ‘67 Coupe is getting a face-lift inside and out. We are scheduled to paint this car and redo the interior. As you can see from the photos it needs some of the floor replaced, new quarter panels, wheelhouses, valances, hood, and a door. Follow along with us we complete this project.
In the early 1930’s, two brothers named Richard and Allen Jensen, began building a name for themselves as custom auto body designers. In 1966 they designed the Interceptor. Their best year for the Interceptor was 1973, as you can see from the photo. This is 1 of 1,166 Interceptors made in 1973. Even though it is a British car, it was manufactured for the USA, hence the left-hand steering. It also comes backed by a Chrysler 440 Magnum. Follow along as we do some mechanical, electrical, interior, and minor body work on this vehicle.
In 1963, Ford sold 55 M-Series Thunderbirds. The M-Series is a factory 390 V8 with Tri-Power. That’s right: 3-2 Barrel Carburetors! Of the 55 sold in 1963, 37 were Sports Roadsters. That means only 18 were convertibles! Follow along with us as we restore this car back to it’s former glory.
Here is a classic example of what happens to a car over time. As you can see this car has seen better days, but with it’s sheetmetal repair, it’s best days are just around the corner. Take a close look at the floor sections and see if you can tell which ones were improperly installed. Follow along with us as we correct and repair the sheetmetal on this car.
